Rain Drops, Blue Field

Blue Fields suggests landscapes with water and sky or areal views from an airplane.  They are etching and monotype on my own handmade mulberry paper that has rain drop texture.  Rain drop textures are created by spraying or dropping water onto the wet kozo fiber.  I then print a monotype with indigo or brown colored ink to add various tones.  At the same time the prints are stenciled out using my antique worm eaten book pages from Japan.  I collaborate with ancient worms.  The worms created beautiful designs which resemble shore lines of the ocean.
